Ingredients

  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon orange zest
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • ½” piece of fresh turmeric (or use ½ teaspoon turmeric powder)
  • 2 cups water 
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and let simmer over low-medium heat for 10 minutes. 
  2. Turn off heat and let ingredients steep for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  3. Strain tea through a fine-mesh strainer into 1-2 mugs. Sweeten to taste with stevia or monk fruit and enjoy.
