Easy Keto Chicken Bone Broth Recipe

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 small onion (roughly sliced)
  • 2 carrots (roughly chopped)
  • 2 stalks celery (roughly chopped)
  • 4 garlic cloves, fresh
  • 31” pieces of ginger, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 31” pieces of turmeric, fresh
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 67 cups of water


  1. Add water, onions, carrots, celery, garlic, ginger, vinegar, turmeric, salt and pepper to your Instant Pot.  Cover with water to MAX fill line, roughly 6 cups.
  2. Replace lid and press +55 minutes MANUAL.  Close valve.
  3. When timer goes off, carefully release steam.  Let cool for 1-2 hours.
  4. Carefully strain contents into large mason jars.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.  Let cool completely and  store in the fridge.  You can also put these in freezer safe jars and store in the freezer for up to one month.
  5. Remove meat from the carcass for later use.
