The Main Ingredients in These Keto Peanut Butter Cups Are:

One of the reasons why these peanut butter cups are so much healthier for you is they contain actual chocolate from raw cacao, unlike the store bought versions that are mainly made up of sugar and filler ingredients. Raw cacao is filled with amazing nutrients, has numerous health benefits, and is also very versatile to use. It serves as a wonderful replacement in any recipe that requires chocolate and is something you can feel great about putting into your body.

Benefits of Raw Cacao:

  1. Supports heart health
  2. Rich in magnesium
  3. Mood booster

#1: Heart Healthy

One of the greatest benefits found within raw cacao is antioxidants. These nutrients help absorb free radicals, protect the body from oxidative stress, and lower inflammation. Eating raw cacao can help reduce the risk of coronary disease, lower blood pressure, and improve blood circulation.

#2: Magnesium Rich

Magnesium is needed for at least 300 biochemical processes in the body. It is key in maintaining nerve and muscle function.  Raw cacao is one of the richest plant-based sources of this mineral and it can help boost your brain power, increase energy, and improve muscle structure.

#3: Combat Mood Swings

Raw cacao stimulates neurotransmitters in the brain which help trigger positive emotions.  It contains chemicals such as serotonin, tryptophan, tyrosine, and phenylethylamine, which are all associated with happiness, well-being, and can also combat depression.

On top of those amazing health benefits, these peanut butter cups are extremely easy to make and only require a handful of ingredients.  They are a great dessert option for meal prep and can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge. Anytime you need a sweet, healthy fix, just grab one of these and you will be well on your way to chocolate peanut butter heaven.
