Lacking ideas for a flavorful matcha snack? Matcha MCT Fat Bombs are here to help. The ingredients in these fat bombs are full of healthy fats to help keep you full and energized throughout your busy day. The ingredients to these satiating treats include:
- ½ cup raw cocoa butter
- 2 TBSP coconut oil
- 2 TBSP cream cheese
- 1 scoop Perfect Keto Matcha MCT Oil Powder
First of all, what is cocoa butter?
Most of us have heard the term cocoa butter in reference to lotions and other topical creams to help relieve dry skin. However, in cocoa butters raw form, it’s not only edible, but provides some amazing health benefits too. Like coconut oil (also included in these delicious fat bombs), cocoa butter is made up of primarily saturated fats.
Raw cocoa butter is a bit different than cocoa butter that has been cooked or heated. The heating of cocoa butter has a tendency to decrease the health benefits.
So what are some of the benefits of adding raw cocoa butter to your top list of baking ingredients?
1. Improves Skin Health
Like many saturated fats, cocoa butter is easily one of the most effective naturally hydrating products, helping to heal it from the inside out.
2. Anti-Aging Properties
Cocoa mass polyphenols are compounds found in cocoa butter that benefit the skin both internally and externally. These polyphenols are antioxidants that have been shown to fight chronic disease and cell mutations. [*]
3. Improves Heart Health
The polyphenols in cocoa butter have more than just anti-aging properties. Cocoa butter is also considered an anti-inflammatory food. The saturated fats in cocoa butter have also been shown to help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

What is HWC?
Hi Michelle, it stands for Heavy Whipping Cream 🙂
What is the serving size, ? I have silicone candy molds but how do I know if they’re an appropriate size?
Hi Lou, for this recipe, a serving size is 1 out of 24 fat bombs. Fill your molds and see how many it makes and then you can calculate the serving size based on how many molds you filled. Hope that helps!
Do you know how many grams for the cocoa butter? I prefer to weigh my ingredients. Thanks
Hey Sue, probably around 100 grams
Would Coconut butter work for this recipe instead of cocoa butter? I don’t have any on hand at the moment.
Sure, try it out! Let us know how it comes out 🙂
Can you replace cocoa butter with coconut oil?
Rachel,
How much is a “scoop” of matcha?
How do you store them after the four hours in the freezer?
You can store them in an airtight container and put it back to the fridge. Grab them whenever you need something to satisfy your sweet tooth.
