We have all been there before. You have a beautiful meal or dessert sitting in front of you, you go to the fridge to grab a nice tall, cold glass of milk, and the carton is nowhere to be found. Someone else drank the last of it the night before and you are now left with an empty carton! Even back in the day before a ketogenic diet, I can’t even count the amount of times my mouth was drooling over the big bowl of cereal I had just poured into a bowl, but there was no milk in sight! Such terribly sad times.
Recently I ran into the same issue of running out of my favorite unsweetened cashew milk when testing recipes out and I simply just didn’t have time to run to the store. I also didn’t have time to make nut milk from scratch with whole nuts and the whole process of straining. Instead I decided to try a little experiment using my favorite nut butter and was pleasantly surprised at how magically it came together.
Two simple ingredients was all I needed to make my very own nut milk and the best part is you can make as much or as little as you need at any given time! No preservatives, no additives. Just water, nut butter, and blend until smooth! Also, with so many varieties and flavors of nut butters now available, you can do small batches of your favorite flavors anytime you want or need. Chocolate, vanilla, coconut, peanut, cashew, walnut. Make a different glass of keto nut milk every day of the week of your heart desires!
